Die casting mold is a method of liquid forging. The die casting process requires the organic and comprehensive application of three major elements: die casting material, die casting machine, and mold, in order to produce efficient and visually high-quality tools. Mastering these three important steps proficiently can make production more rhythmic, efficient, and of better quality. So what are the precautions when working on die-casting molds? Below, let me give you a brief introduction.

1. There are certain requirements in the use of release agents, which are used to prevent detachment in the process of die castings. When using, the surface temperature of the die casting mold must be moderate, not too high or too low, otherwise this will prevent the release agent from falling off well and may also cause related damage. The use of release agent should also be uniform, which means that it should be applied less and evenly, so that the casting can smoothly reach the state of detachment.

2. The lubrication of die-casting molds is also very important. Lubrication, as a parting agent for die-casting molds and castings, facilitates the unloading of die-casting molds. It serves as a lubricant for the moving parts of die-casting molds and presses, reducing friction and improving the service life of die-casting molds. In addition, it can also serve as a coolant for die-casting molds and reduce the thermal fatigue of the mold due to long-term operation, extending the mold life.

3. Before use, remember to preheat the die-casting mold. The purpose of preheating is to prevent the die-casting mold from being heated in a small and concentrated range, which can cause strong heat and cracking, leading to damage to the mold. Therefore, remember to preheat the mold during use.
Pay more attention to maintenance during normal use of die-casting molds in order to avoid damage and improve their service life.
